The back of the cathedral was designed originally, I believe, so that masses could be said outside; the altar's just under the cross on the left.
Spent the whole afternoon walking around it and the surrounding area to get a blip. I even called in to companies and asked at reception if I could wander around their grounds/car parks so I could take some shots; being Liverpool, of course, the answer was: Yes.
What's not to like in the friendliest city in the world.
