Caught out

We is EXHAUSTIPATED!!  THEY did go out this morning at some ungodly hour and they did leave the cat door open so we could run around a bit.

We doesn't think they will do that again in a hurry.  You see the thing is that there was next door's dog running around by the back fence, so we did go down and we did bark at him, and we did run around in the long weeds which did get stuck to our furs.  And then it did bucket down, and we did get very wet and dirty.

When they finally did come home, we didn't hear them, and we think SHE thought that we had runned away, but we didn't really, we just didn't hear them come home.

And when we heard HER calling and calling we wrenched ourselves away from the back fence, and we did come belting back up the yard - but we was both very wet and very dirty, and we both did get scooped up and dumpted in the laundry trough, where we did get a very quick bath.   And then HE did towel Harry dry, while SHE bathed George and towelled him dry, and then we could hardly keep our eyes open.   So we did collapse on the floor and wented fast asleep. 

And we did snore a lot. (Or so SHE says).

Anyway, THEY both did say it was quicker and easier to clean up poop (if we did forget ourselves) than it was to clean us up all over.  So the cat door won't be left open again while they is out.
