Dragged through a hedge backwards

I usually just throw my hair up and clip it together for work, but just occasionally I wonder if it maybe looks like my Mum used to say “ it looks like you have been dragged through a hedge backwards “ it is incredibly difficult to get a look at the back of your hair.
