Drinks After Work On A Friday Night

Your semi-regular Nisha update.  

Nisha's been intrigued by what Munni does when Munni sits on the edge of the wash basin.  So today was her introduction to the Dripping Tap - source of joy (just look at her face).  The two extras will make you smile if you're a cat person or even a person who just likes cute.

Friday was hard.  I was working from pretty much the moment I got in to the office, there should be some law that says I get to make my cup of tea first.

And IBM outdid themselves.  I really needed to update a couple of my cases on their support website and so I logged in, I immediately got a pop-up window "We'd really like your feedback, click on [No thanks] or [Give Feedback]" - except the No thanks button doesn't work.  It's either Give Feedback or Go Home.  And when  I gave my Feedback "Your website is rubbish", it just showed me a white screen, no information whatsoever.

So reboot.

Change browser from Firefox to Edge, try again to update.  Oh look, "Give Feedback" or "No Thanks".  No thanks doesn't work, and after giving somewhat short feedback I just see a white screen again.

Reboot & try 3rd Browser Chrome.  Yay.  I can finally update my cases without having to give any feedback.

I get an E-Mail from IBM telling me that this "Give Feedback or Stay Here Forever" is a "known bug".  You'd think that a multinational company that is effectively making all its money from IT, the website might be one of those things that it would get right to showcase its talents.  

But what do I know? I'm just a Systems Engineer who tries to fix stuff.  I'm not a Manager with a Vision.

Add in a lot of other stuff that just made me unhappy and I was delighted to get on the bus 9 hours after I got in.

On the plus side: G, Munni, Nisha & the weekend.  Things could be a lot worse.
