I'm still only a puppy!

Today my very lovely owner, Ann, is feeling soooo, soooo guilty..........................

…..........This is what happened...........................

About a week ago Ann bought me three new balls – a pink one, a yellow one and an orange one. I haven't played with them yet so today she said, 'Trixie, let's go to 'Porty Beach' so that you can play with your new pink bouncy ball.' Yay! I was happy, happy, happy.

Normally when I play with a ball I only play for about 15 mins because 15 mins of ball playing equals about an hour of walks. If I'm in the field, I generally just go into the undergrowth and lie down when I'm tired and that is the indication to Ann that the game is over.

Mmmmmmm...................... today she was on a mission to tire me out because she had a 'meet & greet' to do this afternoon and then she wanted to go swimming.

Tire me out she did. After about 10 mins of playing with my new pink ball I was exhausted so when I got the ball I kept taking it into the sea and having a bit of a cool down.

The trouble was....................... after I'd had my 'cool down' (and Ann had put the ball in her pocket) I kept wanting to play. I kept jumping up at Ann and trying to get my new pink bouncy ball out of her pocket. I pestered her so much that eventually she said, 'Trixie, if you want to play, we'll play.'

Bad move! Ann is the adult and I am only a puppy. I haven't yet learnt to stop playing when I'm over exerting myself and neither would it appear that Ann has???

I played for about an hour and a half. And chasing after my new pink bouncy ball made me so thirsty I had to resort to drinking sea water. Ann told me not to, but I'm still only a puppy so I don't always understand what she says to me.

Long story short – I sicked up all my breakfast in the car on the way home. Obviously drinking half the sea in the world is not a good thing for a little puppy to do. And then when we got home I had the biggest drink ever.......................... I pretty much drank a whole bowl of water in one go. Ann re-filled it for me and then I got shut in the kitchen and off she went for the next 3 and a half hours. She was working to a really tight schedule and I'd just come in and I was very tired, so after my big drink I just went straight into my bed for a snooze. But as I say, Ann is the adult and I'm only a puppy. Obviously what goes in, has to come out?! …..........What she should have done; is take me out to my 'bedtime wee' bit of grass so that I could have wee'd out a whole bowl of water. But she didn't. And that is totally her fault. So when she came home and discovered I'd wee'd on the kitchen floor, I didn't get into trouble. I immediately got taken out again for a little trek around the block. And yes I did have another wee.

…..............And after playing ball for more than an hour I'm still really tired I've gobbled up all my dinner because sicking up all my breakfast has made me hungry and now I'm back snoozing in my bed.

PS – Watching 'Corrie'. Isn't it sad tonight?
