Daytrip to eyam

Thomas has been learning about the great fire of London at school and has developed quite an interest in history, so mummy decided to take him to eyam, one of her favourite historical villages. Best known as the plague village.
We picked grandma up this morning, drove to eyam and visited the museum first. We got in just in time to watch the dvd introduction - I thought it was very good and sat/stood on grandma's knee watching. I did keep turning round to give her kisses too though!
We wandered round the museum and found this plague doctor along with lots of different characters for Thomas to label on his quiz sheet. He got a sticker at the end for getting them all right.
After the museum it was lunch time so we wandered to the little cafe in the stables. Grandma and Thomas had toasties, and mummy had brought my lunch for me in my new food flask. Unfortunately the cafe had nothing dairy free for mummy - they couldn't even make a salad because they had used all the salad they had on pre made sandwiches, so mummy couldn't have anything!
We spent the afternoon walking round the village finding the plague cottages and walking round the church and yard and then drove up to mompessons well before heading home.
This evening we went to grandma and grandads for a takeaway with uncle marmoo and auntie cat who are just back from their holidays.
It was a very late night for me and Thomas!
