These seem to be the brief moments when I catch up with myself.
Stood at the back door, listening to Lou Reed crying.
All these bloody endings.
If you were here it would make all the difference in the world.
‘It’s such a perfect day, I’m glad I spent it with you’
It doesn’t really matter if it’s a day or a lifetime.
It’s only the absurdity of human attachment that makes it so bloody painful.
In reality it is there forever.
It is not better to have loved and lost. Fuck off.
What is it with our stupid need to find a platitude that shoves our myriad and wonderful human emotions in a neatly contained box tightly bound by a manmade earth-polluting candy floss pink ribbon with glitter to deflect us from what has a real place in the world but we cannot bear to look? (‘Humankind cannot bear too much reality’ etc. ... spot on mister)
It just is.
And then it is everything else that we attach to it.
And that’s okay ... busy going nowhere (I so love that Cage piece)
