Local resident!

These beautiful Iguanas are quite frequently see just hanging around! Very unfazed by us! He was very obliging and posed beautifully for me! We saw him on our way to breakfast which was very good. After this we decided to indulge in a beach day . We headed for the fabulous day beds where we set up camp.

After a brief lunch we returned to our sea front bed until late afternoon. It was just total heaven!

Supper was at Culinarium . Then off to bed, via the concierge to try to get towels for our sojourn to Chichen Itza. That’s when the problems began! . We asked two things. Firstly our loo is blocked and despite us reporting this first thing today nothing had been done. We reminded him and said it would be good to sort it out in the morning as we were away for the day. That seemed no problem. The towels seemed much more challenging! After an incomprehensible diatribe we eventually did get two towels delivered to our room. And so to bed early as we were being picked up at 4:55am in the morning to start our away day.

Sleep came fast and deep until suddenly the lights went on and a confused Mr Tbay sat bolt upright in bed as he could hear men’s voices at our door which suddenly opened!! He jumped out of bed and confronted them,  (in his underwear!!) who announced there were hear to fix the loo! Oh boy were we mad! The manager was sent for and after a very annoyed Mr Tbay had very much let his feeling be known , they were sent away with a flea in their ear whilst we tried to get our heads round what just happened and try to sleep again. Not so easily done as we were both wired to say the least! Grrrrrr!
