Someone else’s kill

Went to see what Gyp was messing with in the field.
It was the head of a ragondin. Very cleanly beheaded and seemed newly dead.
I wonder what had so recently caught it, killed it, dragged it away from the stream and then presumably made off with the body. They are quite big and heavy creatures so it must have been quite a large predator.

Gyp seemed happy to give it up
