From Point of Ness

A walk yesterday along the shore from Stromness. A gale gusting to Force 9 meant a lot of ferries were cancelled and didn't make it too easy to walk, either. I was glad to shelter in a couple of wartime structures that afforded a view out of the wind, and a golf pavilion also provided a bench where I had coffee and iced ginger cake as the wind howled around.
