Ribbons
Today we travelled out to York to an RPS DIG North East meeting featuring talks from Eva and Tony Worobiec. Before the presentation started, there were presentations of awards from the recent DIG digital image competition. One of the people there received a gold medal for his Altered Reality image, whilst Tim got two ribbons in the same section. The only awards in this section were one medal and three ribbons, so Yorkshire was somewhat well represented!
We must add a quick hello to the two blippers we met at the event - Pixelfoto and Viewpoint
After the event, we drove through to Blackburn to see the PAGB Inter-Club print competition tomorrow, and so we're staying in a Premier Inn. We had fun with the rooms - the first one was freezing cold and we think had been stayed in by a smoker, the second one seemed to be already occupied, and the third was just right (said Goldilocks!). Dinner was bangers and mash in a very large Yorkshire Pud - just the thing to eat in Lancashire. Unfortunately they were having a Christmas themed evening (!) with the staff in hats and reindeer ears and with Christmas music playing in the background. It's still October - we retreated to our room with our drinks...
