Autumn

It was overcast and cloudy as we traveled to my son’s home to drop off the dog but as we were leaving the blue sky popped out with sunshine on this red tree! The area was so colorful with reds, golds and some orange. Autumn is in full swing in upper North Carolina.

We are stopped for the night in Kentucky. We got behind a tractor trailer truck on a narrow winding mountain road for 35 miles! Guess who was driving?! The slow going probably added an hour to our travel time! But I kept my patience and was glad the hubs was not driving.

The first travel day is done. Tomorrow we will get close to or at Kansas City!
