All about Lallybroch

The last day ...

... of being in my 30's!

And what better way than to spend it with Ethan.

Grandpa left us in the morning to go for a walk along the water of Leith. While Ethan headed to his swimming lesson - the first one since we abandoned them 20 weeks ago! We went down early so we could meet Foreveryoung and Eden as they were finishing their lesson, so the kids could play together in the pool for a wee bit. Poor Eden's lips started to turn blue though so they soon left us to it. I was on tenterhooks to find out whether Ethan would actually show off his new found swimming skills during the lesson or whether he'd revert to limpet Ethan who wouldn't leave my side. Fortunately he decided to show off for the swimming instructor and there was no stopping him! When she was throwing foam letters in the water he was swimming off to get them all by himself before she had even told the kids what she wanted them to do! At the end of the lesson she said to me he's like a different child!

Back home and he was clearly knackered after all the swimming. So we had a quick lunch and I then put him down for a nap. Just then, Grandpa reappeared! He was supposed to be going home after his lunch but decided to pop back in to use my loo and scrounge some lunch off me! He ended up agreeing to stay another night with us and after Ethan had his sleep, we all went to the Almond Valley Heritage Centre. Was deserted there - very weird having the place to ourselves!
