After the Rain

After the deluge of the last couple of days it was a pleasant surprise to wake up to sunshine.
After breakfast and watching the rugby Elaine went home.
I’ve done some washing and a few other jobs then a short walk around the village.
Lots of leaves strewn on the ground and they were surprisingly dry after all the recent rain.
Early dinner for us this afternoon as Mr P is meeting Tim in Leeds this evening to go to the City Varieties.
They are  going to see The Beatles -  Hornsey Road with Mark Lewisohn  about the making of the Abbey Road album.
Both father and son love their music so l expect they will have a good time.
I will be watching the Strictly results.
