Waiting for the ferry

A very cold night.  Frost on the van windows and on the grass.  See extra of Lottie!  Mike slept a lot better than he had the night before, even with the freezing temperatures.  

After breakfast we hit the road again, up to the ferry from Gills Bay.  In Wick we called in at Pets at Home to get a cosy jacket for Lottie and we were given treats, a free bag of dog food for her, discounts galore and more!  Sadly all the money off coupons can only be used in store and not online, but you can't win all the time!  Also called into the garden centre and got some violas and some nice looking terracotta pots.  

Home mid afternoon and by tea time the first load of washing was on the clothes horse and I had picked up all the post from Ruth & Jimmy.  Sadly, while we were away, Bonny the Bantam died.  She had been below par for a while but even with Jimmy's tlc she hadn't survived.
