Merens horses

The Merens transhumance from the high plateau to the coast is happening shortly and these four riders seem to be an advanced party. The Merens breed is a stocky mountain horse capable of carrying loads and well suited to this region. I spotted them on the way back from church before going on to a parish lunch which proved very pleasant.
