Everyday I Write The Book

There is no spoon

There were six of us around the table for lunch to celebrate Mr S’s birthday, five old ‘uns and young Mr M pictured here performing cutlery tricks with his proboscis. I admired his patience and good humour today, it’s not easy being in adult company when all you want to do on a sunny day is get out there on your skateboard.

We had to drive to Wimbledon to get the train as they were doing engineering works. But we did walk from Waterloo to Fitzrovia and back, a decent four mile ‘round trip. And the restaurant - Percy and Flounders - was very good

- a big, modern, friendly, hearty kind of place.

TSM and I saw The Yoga Mama safely into her Uber then we went for a quick drink in Mr Fogg’s House of Botanicals

which is a fun little cocktail place on the corner opposite. Thus fully protected from the elements by inner cheer we made our way back to Waterloo via the Lush in Oxford Street, where we spent a lot of money on smelly stuff to keep us clean.

The Dizzle came back from the Lake District very happy and with lots of good photos so it was lovely to catch up with him after four days away.

Good day.
