My first cake!

I promise no moss from my ‘lawn’ was used in the making of this cake!

I couldn’t decide which way round to post these today but it had to be the cake because I’ve got to this grand old age and never really made a cake for an occasion. I’ve done banana and carrot, and malt loaf but I don’t ever recall having made a cake for an occasion. It was my friend’s birthday last week and her youngest, who is the the baker extraordinaire that I wouldn’t dare compete with, has moved down to a job that looks like it’s working really well for her. So glad for her...what a tough old trade. So, I had a bash myself! Once I’d put it in the fridge to chill I decided I’d have a quick chill before taking it over. I thought it would be busy in the lakes so stayed local and had my first blipper spotting when I passed who I was pretty sure was Bimbo As I went to park up at Roe Head I was sure the next familiar face / runner must be stustod https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2635158004252542268

It was a bit of a relief because I thought it was too full to park but felt a bit reassured to tag on the end of the support van after I’d introduced myself.

I got a good way up towards Loadpot and then headed back down again and then picked up the cake on my way over to Maulds.
