Flood barriers up

This is Severnside near Dog Lane where the river is very high at the moment.  This made it very tricky to get Dad and us to the restaurant where we were having lunch so we were rather late!  No way out of the car park onto the riverside, then no way onto the road as all the barriers were in the way!  Lunch was good once we got it!  The river is due to peak early on Tuesday morning so I hope it stays where it is meant to be.

In other news, having lost and paid for a replacement hearing aid this week, Dad lost his wallet yesterday with the £50 in it he had just taken out of the cashpoint.  Somehow he managed to keep the card as it fell onto his mobility scooter platform.  He can't explain what happened.  He went back to see if he could see it anywhere, but no joy.  It's been an expensive week.
