Mick, the drummer
I'm currently leading a workshop for some members of one of my camera clubs on how to do candid street portraits (selecting the target, approaching the person, etc.)
I took the group to Washington's train station -- an environment that's a bit more intimidating to those who've never accosted a complete stranger -- than the street festival to which the group went last. There was a bit of fretting (and still some shots snuck thanks to long lenses) but I think eventually everyone was able to approach a person and get a shot. Whew! I'm looking forward to Tuesday's critique of their best three shots: I think it'll be fun :)
The posted pic is mine, while the group was busy photographing an unsuspecting tourist ;)
