Pooch in the Poppies....

California Poppies grow very well in Marlborough. They grow along roadsides and in river beds and banks splashing brilliant colour.... the look of summer. They furl their petals in the late afternoon, getting ready for the night. Then in the morning they open their little faces as the sun rises higher in the sky. Maisie was scrambling through this large patch early this morning. She’d had a paddle in the river to cool down after some exciting bunny chases.
