Monday: Dusk ...
... which today is around 4:30pm.
Another chilly & bright day, wind from the east, temperature in low single figures.
Waited “until the day had warmed up” (my mother’s phrase) before I removed the net covering my tub of salad seedlings in the greenhouse then covers back before dark.
Did a bit of crafting - stamping and heat embossing today, whilst MrD was working.
Midday I took a washing bowl of warm water outdoors and prepared about a kilo of pickling onions, they are being salted now and I’ll prepare the spiced vinegar tomorrow. I did this job outdoors last year too and found it perfect, no watery eyes!
Spent afternoon watching the second half of film “The Bromley Boys” on Now TV - https://www.theguardian.com/film/2018/jun/01/the-bromley-boys-review-70s-football-britcom-shoots-wide very enjoyable.
I’d watched “Lost in Paris” at the weekend - https://www.theguardian.com/film/2017/nov/24/lost-in-paris-review-emmanuelle-riva-beguiles-funny-little-gem also enjoyable and a little strange.
Lit the log burner and had a cozy evening.
Goodnight all x
