Meet Ziggy...

...the new addition to our family.  M and I have been considering getting a cat for quite a while.  Now that the work on the house, garden, conservatory, summerhouse etc. is done and life is a little quieter it seemed the right time.
Ziggy (re-named by us in honour of David Bowie) is a rescue cat from the Cat's Protection League.  Apparently his previous owners had allergy issues so had to give him up.
He is the most affectionate cat I've ever known, in fact I'm sure he thinks he's a dog, he follows us all around the house wanting attention and almost tripping us up.   As soon as we sit together on the sofa he's up there between us purring and wanting a fuss, he has a lovely temperament and seems to be settling in well...which is great as we've only had him two days!
It's actually his birthday today, apparently he's two years old, happy birthday Ziggy!
