NIGHTMARE OF A DAY

Up at eight o'clock & almost the first thing I did was to upend a cup of coffee into a bunch of electrical sockets underneath the desk resulting in instant blackness!

After much scrabbling about to find a torch I got the offending sockets unplugged & flipped the ON switch in the cellar & lo & behold - there was light! Got the computer up & running to find my Anti-Virus program was sick...

I followed all its instructions again & again - re-booting & re-booting but it refused to heal itself. By five pm my patience ran out & I uninstalled it along with all its subordinates & told it where to put itself!

Bought a new anti-virus program which tells me I'm "safe".

What a waste of time. Coming to hate smartarse software.
