Snowy Walk

With perfect timing we set off on our walk just as the sun disappeared, the sky suddenly went very dark and the snow showers came whirling in as the wind also picked up. Our "sunny" walk turned both sunless and rather cold.
But what fun it is when it snows! It's so exhilarating to see the flakes hurtling past horizontally. The world starts to turn white; first the road and the ploughed field with just a little snow, it takes more to cover the grassy field.
Our walk took us out along the road but we turned off into the forest for the return journey, grateful for the shelter it offered us from the wind.
More wood chopping later and then into town to see the film Isle of Dogs for the second time. It was even better the second time round! 
A little shopping, that turned into a longer trip as we kept meeting friends in the shop, and then home for tea as darkness fell.
