A Smooth Passage

The MV Hamnavoe glides out of Stromness Harbour and into the Hoy Sound.  Within seconds she will turn to starboard and head into the Atlantic.  She will cannily hug the coastline of Hoy before setting course across the Pentland Firth for Scrabster.

I met Dougal for lunch today.  We were with our managers so no lunch time imbibing was allowed.  The only way Dougal can get any relief is to visit his Mum in Limekilns.  She’s 93 but he’s still a blessing to her.  I ordered a new electric saw today, bought some logs, a pair of rubber boots and shopped at the Co-op.  Honestly – will my community payback never end ?
