Spent all day at Delapre. Nice and busy as it’s half term. Spent the morning hosting in one of the rooms and the afternoon observing a restoration tour. Very knowledgeable tour guide who lived through it all, but perhaps needs to be a little more focused and try not to go off at tangents. Don’t think it will happen though! Didn’t realise how much of the restoration fund had to be spent digging out and making good the cellars. They now look very smart but are just used for storage
Did several errands when I got back, including ( unsuccessfully) trying to buy new ankle boots. Didn’t get home until 6.45- just like being back at work!
