Corrie shore

The north east coastal road  on the Isle of Arran affords wonderful vistas across the Firth of Clyde to the Ayrshire coast. A path from High Corrie provides access to the Arran's highest hill Goat Fell at 2,867ft - just 2 miles away.  Arran is often referred to as 'Scotland in miniature' because you encounter scenes typical of both Highlands and Lowlands. The rocks of north are divided geologically from the rest of the island by part of the Highland Boundary Fault - a great crack in the earth's crust which separates Highland Scotland from the Lowlands of the Midland Valley.
Extra: Goat Fell in shadow. A wonderful spell of mild settled weather.
