Houses of Parliament

We were catching up on Intellectual Quiz Programme Night last night.

We learnt that the HP of HP Sauce stands for the Houses of Parliament. Apparently, the sauce was so-named because brown sauce was popular there; this is also why there is a picture of the building on the front of the sauce bottle. I don’t buy it, so didn’t have one to hand to check. But I saw these in the supermarket, and there is indeed such a picture.
