Mood Boosting

Bright and beautifully arranged on the dark branches of this maple tree, these autumn leaves were one of the high points of my day.  I noticed them as I drove into work and made sure I got out at lunchtime to take a closer look.  The tree is located on one of the lawns at work - we really are so fortunate to have such grand and beautiful specimens on our door step.

The weather has been quite gloomy again and, with the clocks having gone back at the weekend, the drive home from work in the dark with glaring car headlights in my face was not very pleasant.  I try to embrace the dark days but the older I get, the more I feel the negative effects.  I must try to work out ways to counter this!

On another bright note, Merlin did better at dog training this week.  He did his 'down and stay', was better at going to his bed and did his heel work with great energy and concentration.  Thank you Merlin!  It was the boost we all needed!
