Ironic really that in a competition sponsored by an energy drink the first half in particular would be totally bereft of that exact thing.

I actually won the tickets for this courtesy of Carabao and a slightly suspicious email trail...but the tickets were waiting for Mike and me when we got there. The first half felt like pre-season fare but the second picked up a little, Everton playing the more expansive football with Watford happy to attack on the break. It was a relief when Mason Holgate scored and the second by Richarlison with the last attack of the game was a welcome bonus.
We probably just about deserved it but we'll likely need to play much better in the quarter final.
