Wide Wednesday: "Road or Path"

Many years ago this used to be a road (along Armstrong Bridge, crossing Jesmond Dene) until it was decided it was not strong enough to withstand motor traffic. For many years therefore it's been a path - for pedestrians and cyclists. So it seemed to cover both options in today's Widwed theme (thanks as always to Bobsblips for hosting).

(It's best viewed large. I've blipped the bridge before for Widwed, but from a different viewpoint.)

My Editor and I had difficulty however in deciding whether we liked the extra better - taken from a couple of hundred yards away from the bridge. I'll be interested to know which you prefer!
