The Matterhorn of the Peak

We attempted a walk from the top of Mow Cop but struggled to reach our starting point as all the road up to it were flooded after 2 days of heavy rain.

So we ended up at The Roaches, knowing that it might be a bit muddy underfoot but it wouldn't be flooded.

This is the view of Shuttlingsloe from Roach End. A lovely couple of hours of bracing fresh air and fantastic views. It's a really popular spot for climbers.
