Bumbling along.....

.....bumble bees are full of character, you can see how they've become great characters for children's books and movies and most people enjoy their antics.

I sat for a while amongst the granny bonnet's observing bumble bees. Some zoomed in on the flower and were done in a dash and off they flew to the next flower. Others flew in kind of leisurely, bumbled their way into the flower, clasping the flower with their legs and then instead of flying onto the next flower they simply bumbled onto it like a trampoline, causing the flower to bounce, some lost their balance and flew off rather unsteadily, certainly made the job of collecting nectar much harder.

Thursday.....lovely day for sitting amongst the flowers. Good day for washing my car, even though I couldn't find my dad's old wooden nail box which I use for washing the roof, it'll have to wait for next time. A mostly fine day with high cloud and pockets of sun, 16C.
