Saying goodbye to an old friend

Our designer friend Ian Stupples requested a Requiem Mass for his funeral in Sevenoaks.

Martin spent so much time arranging the gathering, choosing beautiful autumn flowers and getting us together at St Julian's afterwards. It was all worth it and Ian would have been looking down smiling.

He would also have smiled when the funeral car broke down and when half of us (including myself) ended up at the wrong crematorium .

We all started together and ended, which is all that mattered.
