A stunning morning - rained much of last nite and this morning started off at 73degF and brilliantly clear. The beach has again been reshaped and has more gentle scallops. Winds WSW which are unusual. Clouds built up to marvelous greys over the mountains and rain again in the afternoon. A tree fell in the forest and took out some power lines; the east end lost power for about 4 hours causing most businesses to close down in early afternoon. We were coming back from errands downtown and first learned of it seeing policemen directing traffic as stoplights were out. Our power came back on about 5:30PM. The unsettled weather should stick around thru tomorrow with rain and low 70s temp, but mainly sunny. Feels delightfully cool.
Someone else's outdoor cat left us the present of a rat's head on our back walk. Decided to leave it to the animals feasting on it. Will check again tomorrow.
