Happy Halloween
So, it was a long night hanging out in the clothes store as Zeus did his thing but I eventually made it back to my room. The breeze continued to pick up during the night and into today making the temperature a little more bearable and I managed to stay on the beach for most of the day while Helios did his thing. Apologies but my new book is a story woven around Greek mythology.
So as Phu Quoc gears up for Halloween, or not as the case may well be given that this was the only display I could find, I am packing up for new adventures in Thailand. I feel very lucky to have been here when tourism is still in it’s infancy, the big hotels are still few and far between but you can tell it’s a coming. I want to hand out copies of The Lorax by Dr Zeuss at the building/rubbish sites although I suspect some of the magic might be lost in translation. I can only hope the magic and tranquility of this place is not lost altogether, it is a truly peaceful place, even the few waves caused by the breeze today seemed to be out of place - but most welcome!
