Fallen

Another Ash tree has fallen in the grove close to my home. The disease is here to stay and one tree after another falls. This tree was big and probably quite old too but age and strength does not help against mushroom spores, so small you can't see them. When the tree is affected, the roots starts to deteriorate until nothing holds it in the ground, as you can see in this picture. The tree suddenly falls over without warning, because it looses balance. It can be dangerous to be here but by now most visitors are warned.

In the evening I went to church to experience a mass named after Avicii, our Swedish house-musician who took his own life in april last year. A live band was playing his music and a priest held the mass. The whole thing was done with great dignity. All money collected went to organisations fighting against suicides.
