Dreaming, How Wonderful
Our last Creative Aging journaling class was held today. We were surrounded by the props and raffle drawing prizes for the upcoming historical society fundraiser. During a break I looked over the prize baskets. None appealed except for a trip to sunny Hatteras Island off the coast of North Carolina. From the bottom picture taken on the way to my car, you can see why. Our group was sad to break up, but we’re sure to see one another when Jenny starts the next topic or her on-going monthly Saturday class. A reunion potluck party is in the works.
Excerpt from Irving Feldman’s poem “How Wonderful”
“...how wonderful! -
that you’ve been led to be quietly yourself,
like a root growing wise in darkness
under the light litter, the falling words.”
Hope you’re all warm and dry. :)
