The humble leaf

It unfurls in the spring to our delight, it provides energy and removes carbon throughout the summer to our
 benefit it then fades and produces fantastic colours before detaching from the trees and floating to the ground to our dismay, but even then it composts and provides nourishment for new growth. What an amazing thing.

After work this evening our plans changed dramatically when I got a phonecall to say "my train is going no further than Woking, could you collect me please?"

After the unexpected drive to collect the Waifs and strays we ate pizza from Aldi
