Ol' blue eyes

I do not see cormorants on the shore very often. This one seems to be fine  as he swam away when I got to close. His blue eyes and orange bill give him a nice pop of color.
 Things were just fine when we arrived home however the tide is up yet again with the south gale winds we are experiencing. We have a tornado warnings until 1am. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are also in the forecast. It could be a long Halloween night.
No trick-or-treaters for us this year and we had plenty of quarters to hand out. Seemed better than candy in this day and age. So maybe I'll run trough the car wash tomorrow! Happy Halloween!
