I play the trumpet.?In high school, that's all I did, planning to go to Berkelee but never quite being able to dedicate the time needed to do that. I was a jazz trumpeter (am?) and played first trumpet in the Choate Rosemary Hall Band. Recently, I've dusted the thing off (I bought it with my Dad in 1972 in NY City) and been practicing everyday. Not sure if the trumpet is the problem or just lack of playing, but it is taking time to get my chops back. But I love jazz and great trumpet playing. My favorite was Freddie Hubbard who dies a couple of months back.
