Paul Hogan was right !

Another stinking hot day in Sydney, although this time the city itself only got to 31 -we hit 41 out on the edge of the Sydney basin.

But what better way to end the day than invite a few friends around for a barbeque and dip in the pool.

It wasn't until I was uploading this blip that I realised how dreadfully clichéd the subject matter itself is.

Really? Shrimps on the barbie? That was the best you could do?

Okay, okay, every Aussie knows they're prawns NOT shrimps, but this is (honestly) the very first time we've ever barbequed prawns at home. We had two sorts. Garlic/soy/honey and Vegemite.

Vegemite prawns (on a barbie) -you can't get much more Aussie than that... :)
