Fancy Fly

I rarely see this fly. It is very tiny. The stem it’s sitting on measures 1.5mm wide, so you can see that its head and body length is under 5mm.They are very good at disappearing behind a leaf faster than my eyes can detect the movement.

Had to drive to an appointment in Christchurch for the second time in three days. It was hot coming home.
