A rainy day. I wondered how many customers there would be at the gelato shop (new this summer) assuming that it opened. The photo was taken about 10 o'clock, rather early for eating  ice cream (if I'm allowed to call it that).  A notice in the window apologises for the appearance due to defrosting.

The plaque to the left on The Old Stamp House, says:
The office of William Wordswoth, distributor of stamps for Westmorland, March 1813 to July 1843.
