Genome Campus

First visit to the amazing Wellcome Genome Campus, including the Sanger Institute which was a leader in the race to sequence the human genome and make it publicly available for future research, ahead of an American organisation that was purported to want to get it patented in the US for commercialisation.  Speaker was Prof Tim Spector (of twin studies fame) on the human biome.
