Amethyst

Here's an experiment in macro with my new camera. This rough old chunk of amethyst sits on my window sill, catching the light. It was a very overcast day today, and this is taken indoors, in daylight without a flash. My camera phone just wouldn't have been able to cope.

I'm loving the new camera, although I have to ration myself because it would be so easy to forget to get on with work, cooking, eating, walking the dog etc. etc.
