Magic and Wonder
Yes I know it’s too early but we walked along to Woodbank Garden Centre this morning with Eda whilst it was dry and pleasant.
Mummy and Daddy are now in Newcastle and Eda is still digesting this so we wanted to take her out of the house and distract her a bit.
We visited all the animals, starting with Bobby the Owl and the infamous Elvis the Macaw. Lots of other creatures including the usual furry ones and small snakes and Bearded Dragons! Virtually all characters out of her story books. We looked at the tropical fish, budgies and Degus before heading for a coffee.
After coffee, Eda didn’t want her babycino or anything to eat and she’s returned to being rather lethargic hence her being in the buggy, think her appetite has gone downhill again too, still awaiting that paediatricians appt!
So we naturally had to take a look around the Christmas shop. Here she is taking in the red sparkly lit ceiling. She liked the animals best and the Chimney where we had to look and see if Santa was stuck up there (Stickman) and the baby in the Nativity scene. That led me on to sharing the ’Touchy-Feely’ Nativity book I’ve got her when we got back home. She still loves the furry ears and woolly bodies on the animals. We came away with a ‘magic’ toadstool tree decoration like the one the witch uses in her spells in ‘Room on the Broom’.and whilst there we took the opportunity to look for a replacement Rowan tree for the front garden. Just need some means of transporting it!
Got in just before the rain set in form another miserable afternoon. We missed the rugby sadly, shame about the result.
Posting this whilst Eda has her post lunch nap. Don’t think we’ll be going out again.
(Extra is Eda snowing daddy the mechanical duck in action on the kitchen table this morning. He arrived after 1.00am. The train was running late so they provided taxis as his connection was missed and he would have had to wait till 5.00am for the next one!)
