Before the storm...

I think we had a lot of rain last night... the ground is awash with water even on the top of the fields, however a whole lot more is forecast for this evening which is a bit of a shame for neighbours of ours have invited 300 people to a fireworks display.  With 50 mph winds forecast accompanying rain l think it unlikely l will go.  I am not a great fan of fireworks in good weather but standing in a howling gale with rain landing on me while someone blows up enough money to feed a small African country doesn't really appeal. But it was nice to be invited. 
Pity about the Rugby but the better team won on the day.  It wasn't the best match and hope those that were injured recover quickly.  Now for a nap in front of the fire... that is what Saturdays are all about!
