70s flashback

Up to take Daisy to the station, she has extra maths lessons at my old sixth form college in Brighton. Then swimming in the wind and the rain, a lady in the indoor pool said I was very brave (in the heated pool!). And then a blustery, rainy run around a few shops and the library so I wouldn’t have to go out again today. Turns out shopping in a storm when England are in the rugby final is the best for parking next to any place you wish to go to.

One of the shops was one I had meaning to go to for months, I was looking for proper naan bread. Which they had, and a whole load of other fabulous things as well. As 7 year old growing up in 1970s Cairo, there was little to offer on the squash front. Sunquick it was- orange though, none of that fancy tropical or mango stuff.it wasn’t actually very nice tbh but needs must (I didn’t buy any today).

My mum took pity on Daisy trapped in stormy Brighton so picked her up and brought her home in exchange for a bacon sandwich. Daisy wasn’t very happy with her maths. She was the only girl, the only one from her college, everyone else was ‘geeky’. I will give you £5 if she goes back.
